Two people died and two others were hospitalized early Saturday when a car sped through a stop sign and hit another vehicle in Garland.
Police say a black Honda Civic was eastbound on Lawler Road about 1 a.m. when it went through a stop sign at Yale drive and crashed into a red Toyota Solara.
The Honda’s driver, identified as 21-year-old Martinez Henriquez, and passenger Mary Garcia, 21, died at the scene. Another passenger in that car and the driver of the Toyota were hospitalized, KXAS-TV (NBC5) reports.
Police are still investigating what led up to crash but say alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
